April 13th, backbone members of Honors College went to Honor School of Jiangnan University for exchange and study led by teacher Xue Yanmei.

In the morning, after the arrival, teachers and students from Honors College visited library led by members of Student Union in Honor School, reaching the meeting room. Before the meeting, teacher Li Jinhong from Honor School firstly introduced the source and composition of students in the school, as well as the methods of training and plans implemented. Teacher Li emphasized that extended courses for liberal arts and science students were set up in order to help them to improve overall ability. After the introduction of Teacher Li, Teacher Xue Yanmei gave a brief introduction about relevant training program in Honors College, including policies implemented, achievements that students achieved, plans and expectations for the future.

Subsequently, representatives from both student unions communicated on behalf of the student union's operations and management. Firstly, the vice president of student union in Honor School introduced basic situation, mentioning it that Honor School was a virtual department, so it was particularly important to improve the cohesion of students in the college. Then, she introduced seven student union departments, including the office, news and publicity department, innovation training department and comprehensive development department, and briefly described the work that each department was responsible for and results that had been achieved. The Honors College’s student union was introduced by chairman Lu Huiwen. The chairman firstly introduced the work of various departments of the student union from four major divisions, including the student union's academic upgrading, daily affairs, comprehensive development and student services. Then she introduced results achieved by united efforts from various departments in detail, showing the photos of some activities such as the welcome party. After Lu's general introduction, He Jing, the spokesperson of Hong Sheng studio, gave a brief report on the work of the studio and presented the magazine published before. Later, spokesperson of the volunteer association Dong Dini, introduced the volunteer work of Honors College, demonstrating strong volunteerism of students in Honors College. Finally, chairman Lu Huiwen made a summary. The exchange and study between the two colleges ended successfully.

After the meeting, students of the two colleges had lunch together and exchanged specific information about relevant departments. After the lunch, led by students in Honor School, students of Honors College visited the Jiangnan University Stadium, the Design Exhibition Hall and so on, which were amazing enough.

The exchange between the student organization of Honors College and the Student Union of Honor School promoted positioning and understanding of both sides and provided a good platform for mutual learning. It is expected that the two colleges will continue to communicate with each other in the future.
