Honors College Held the Eighth 2017-2018 Fulbright Program Short-Term Expert Lecture

To develop students' international vision and enhance their general literacy, Honors College held the eighth 2017-2018 Fulbright program short-term expert lecture in 315 auditorium of Xuehai Building at 4:00 pm on December 11th. The lecture was delivered by Professor Chris Leslie from New York University on the theme of ‘A. Hackers, Postgraduates, Major Science and Small Business: International Innovation in the Internet’, introducing the International Innovation of the Internet.
At the beginning, Professor Chris Leslie summed up the content of the lecture in three aspects, which were researching problems, researching methods and the importance of his research. He also elaborated on the relationship between mankind and the progress of science, the course of Internet development and the potential impact. Through combining specific content and various forms of indicators and citing examples of celebrities, the professor aroused great enthusiasm and interest of students. Finally, the students raised some questions and the professor made detailed answers to everyone's confusion. This seminar combined professionalism, innovation and fun. Besides, the innovation of the Internet was analyzed in a comprehensible way.
