Honors College Held a Defense Meeting on Nanjing Normal University Press Scholarship for Overseas Studies

In the afternoon of December 4th, Honors College held a defense meeting on Nanjing Normal University Press Scholarship for Overseas Studies. Chen Liping, Sun Ang (both are teachers from School of Foreign Languages), Cai Neng (a teacher from Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges) and Cao Haitao (deputy dean of the Honors College) served as judges.
Since September 2015, students of Honors College have achieved a lot in exchanges under the support of the university. There are total 22 people who have overseas study experience, and their footprints cover America, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.
In the defense meeting, 13 students shared their experience abroad, including academic study, oversea life, club activities and so on. A video showed by Wang Rui had been recorded by students whom she got acquainted with during the exchange period, aiming to support her. Fang Zidong, who volunteered in Albania, shared relevant research she had done there. According to their statement, judges posed questions.
All the candidates were required to use English to present, and this indicated a high-level command of English of students in Honors College. What’s more, rich contents displayed benefited the audience a lot.
Finally, Chen Liping and Cai Neng commented on the meeting. They were happy to see that students had already harvested so much through oversea exchange, and they encouraged more and more students to take part in it so as to improve themselves.
