Honors College Held a Meeting on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program for College Students

On the 7th and 8th of March, Honors College held an exchange meeting on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program for College Students in the room 315, according to professions to be divided into two meetings of the science and the liberal arts. The meeting was hosted by Zhou Jiangying, who is in charge of the science and technology apartment in the student union. The meeting also invited some juniors and seniors whose projects are of the provincial level as speakers.
First of all, Zhou Jiangying introduced the basic situation and details of the training program. Then, the speakers shared their experience with the students. For example, Zhao Gehang and Xu Yinxuan, both majoring in mathematics and applied mathematics, thought that the first step is to consolidate the foundation before taking part in the program. Ji Juanyu whose major is finance, introduced some matters about choosing the topic and suggested paying more attention to the social focus. Besides, it’s important to narrow the breakthrough point instead of blindly pursuing grand objects. Qin Yanting majoring in law, repeatedly stressed the importance of action. Simultaneously, she told the students to treat the mid-term report seriously. Lizhu Kaixing, whose major is psychology, started from the topic of “why we want to participate in this training program”, to illustrate its value from the perspectives of study and experience so that he clarified the direction for the students.
The exchange meeting came to an end, but the trip to develop students’ innovation and entrepreneurship has just begun. Honors College takes training talents of high-level innovation ability as her own duty. Students are expected to improve their innovation ability in the training program and add luster to the college.
