Qing Teng Volunteers Association of Honors College held a career talk on voluntary work

On the afternoon of 13th of October, a career talk on voluntary work was held by Qing Teng volunteers association in 312 classroom of Xue Hai teaching building. Vice president Liu Jiali presided over the talk. Member Pu Jinke, as well as two star volunteer Chen Panyi and Zhang Kexin delivered a speech repectively. The main content is to introduce the features of various voluntary projects, suitable kind of crowd, details needed to notice, selection rules of star volunteers and relevant activities in the summer vacation social practice to the college students of grade 2016.
At the beginning, the host explained the places, contents and historical events of each voluntary work in details. Next, Pu Jinke narrated his experience of leading a team to carry out voluntary work. He thought that participating in voluntary service activities is a necessity of university life. So he called freshmen to take advantage of opportunity to do voluntary activities actively. In addition, two star volunteers Chen Panyi and Zhang Kexin shared their stories and achievements with the fellows. First, Zhang Kexin defined voluntary activities as ’ordinary, determined and friendly’. She argued that we should insist our choice instead of rating voluntary work by levels narrowly so that we can achieve friendship and improvement finally. Then, Chen Panyi started from activities based in Ningxin volunteer home and expressed her sights and thoughts. At last, Liu Jiali interacted with the students to explain their confusion.
Trough this meeting, 2016 class students of Honors College had a deeper understanding of the theme and activities carried out of Volunteers Association. Besides, all of the students had shown their determination to take part in all kinds of voluntary activities. They wanted to contribute their own time and energy for disseminating love and civilization.
